Your First Dance Lesson
Here at the Destination Dance Studio we offer any new client or couple a free orientation lesson. Simply call to schedule your first appointment.
When you arrive you will be introduced to your instructor, who will give you an information sheet to fill out. This sheet includes a list of all the different dances that we teach and you check as many dances as you are interested in. The instructor will then work with you privately in one of our ballrooms. After your orientation lesson is finished, the instructor will go over how you did and, based on the level of your dancing experience, will recommend one of our starter courses that will best meet your needs. If you decide to continue with Destination Dance Studio you can simply enroll that day or evening. It's as easy as that!
Syllabus
Beginner Course Program: All beginner students start their lessons with the Beginner Course Program. A limited number of step patterns and techniques are introduced in order to introduce the student to dancing and determine his/her areas of interest.
American Style Bronze Program: This program is designed for the person who wishes to become a good social dancer. This is the most popular program for our students. A social dancer is considered fun to dance with in all the popular ballroom and latin dances and has complete confidence in the figures taught. Social dancers have the necessary styling to create a pleasant appearance on the dance floor and can cope with almost any dance occasion.
Advanced Ballroom and Latin Dancer Programs: The Advanced programs are for the person who wishes to become an exceptional social dancer. Advanced Ballroom and Latin Dancers are distinguished by versatility and style in all popular ballroom and latin dances. This is a beautiful and practical standard of dancing for those who wish to be sought after on the dance floor, e.g. International style, Competition style, Silver and Gold levels, Showcase performances
